For over ten
years, Dr. Kasparian-Federico has been creating perfect smiles for her patients
and heightened confidence in their steps.
Dr. Kasparian-Federico grew up in Belmont, Massachusetts. Her father, Dr. Frank D. Kasparian, was a
dentist and his love of the dental profession inspired Dr. Kasparian-Federico
to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Kasparian-Federico graduated from Belmont
High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. Dr. Kasparian-Federico received her Bachelor
of Arts in history, cum laude, from Tufts University, and subsequently earned
her D.M.D., magna cum laude, from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During
her graduate study at Tufts, Dr. Kasparian-Federico was elected to Omicron
Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. She also received the Maury
Massler Award in Restorative Dentistry and merit scholarship awards for
scholastic achievement. After practicing as a general dentist for two years,
Dr. Kasparian-Federico returned to Tufts to complete her specialty training in
orthodontics. She received her Certificate in Orthodontics from Tufts
University School of Dental Medicine in 2001 and practiced orthodontics in both
Worcester and Sudbury, Massachusetts before coming to Medford in 2006 and
founding Mystic Valley Orthodontics, P.C.
Dr.
Kasparian-Federico is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). After
taking the ABO Clinical Examination to renew her Board Certification in 2013, Dr.
Kasparian-Federico was honored to have the ABO Board of Directors select three
of her orthodontic cases for inclusion in the ABO Case Display at the 2014
American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session. Additionally, she is a member
of the College of Diplomates of the ABO, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the
Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Association and the American
Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Kasparian-Federico is an active volunteer at the
Massachusetts Dental Society and she received the Society’s “Ten Under Ten
Award” recognizing outstanding young dentists in 2008 and the “Volunteer Heroes
Award” in 2009. She has served as
Secretary and Chair of the East Middlesex District of the Massachusetts Dental
Society and is now on the Executive Committee.
She was also selected to participate in the Massachusetts Dental
Society’s Leadership Institute and Guest Board Member Programs. Currently, Dr. Kasparian-Federico is the Chair
of the Committee on Access, Prevention and Interprofessional Relations of the
Massachusetts Dental Society. Finally,
Dr. Kasparian-Federico has been a committed volunteer at Tufts, as she has served
as Secretary of the Tufts Association of Orthodontists, Co-Chair of her Class
Reunion Committees and is a member of the Dental M Club Executive
Committee.
Dr.
Kasparian-Federico is married to her husband Richard and is the proud and happy
Mom of two young boys, Richard III and Christian. When she is not at work, she loves being
surrounded by her family! She especially looks forward to big family dinners on
the weekends. She also enjoys running, spinning and making awesome chocolate
chip cookies. Her favorite places to visit are Disney World and Italy!!!
